Happy Holiday … to you

Happy Holiday
It’s the holiday season
And Santa Claus is coming back
The Christmas snow is white on the ground
When old Santa gets into town
He’ll be coming down the chimney, down
He’ll be coming down the chimney, down
It’s the holiday season
And Santa Claus has got a toy
For every good girl and good little boy
He’s a great big bundle of joy
He’ll be coming down the chimney, down
He’ll be coming down the chimney, down
He’ll have a big fat pack upon his back
And lots of goodies for you and me
So leave a peppermint stick for old St. Nick
Hanging on the Christmas tree
It’s the holiday season
The holiday season
With the whoop-de-do and hickory dock
And don’t forget to hang up your sock
‘Cause just exactly at 12 o’clock
He’ll be coming down the chimney
He’ll be coming down the chimney, down
He’ll have a big fat pack upon his back
And lots of goodies for you and me
So leave a peppermint stick for old St. Nick
Hanging on the Christmas tree
It’s the holiday season
The holiday season
With the whoop-de-do and hickory dock
And don’t forget to hang up your sock
‘Cause just exactly at 12 o’clock
He’ll be coming down the chimney
Coming down the chimney
Coming down the chimney
Coming down the chimney, down

Vera Lynn The little boy that Santa Claus forgot
Christmas comes but once a year for every girl and boy,
The laughter and the joy they find in each brand new toy.
I’ll tell you of a little boy that lives across the way…
This little fella’s Christmas is just another day.
He’s the little boy that Santa Claus forgot,
And goodness knows, he didn’t want a lot.
He sent a note to Santa
For some soldiers and a drum,
It broke his little heart
When he found Santa hadn’t come.
In the street he envies all those lucky boys,
Then wanders home to last year’s broken toys.
I’m so sorry for that laddie,
He hasn’t got a daddy,
The little boy that Santa Claus forgot.
Nat King Cole Frosty the Snowman
Frosty the snowman was a jolly happy soul,
With a corncob pipe and a button nose
And two eyes made out of coal.
Frosty the snowman is a fairy tale, they say,
He was made of snow but the children
Know how he came to life one day.
There must have been some magic in that
Old silk hat they found.
For when they placed it on his head
He began to dance around.
O, Frosty the snowman
Was alive as he could be,
And the children say he could laugh
And play just the same as you and me.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.
Frosty the snowman knew
The sun was hot that day,
So he said, “Let’s run and
We’ll have some fun
Now before I melt away.”
Down to the village,
With a broomstick in his hand,
Running here and there all
Around the square saying,
Catch me if you can.
He led them down the streets of town
Right to the traffic cop.
And he only paused a moment when
He heard him holler “Stop!”
For Frosty the snow man
Had to hurry on his way,
But he waved goodbye saying,
“Don’t you cry,
I’ll be back again some day.”
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Look at Frosty go.
Thumpetty thump thump,
Thumpety thump thump,
Over the hills of snow.
Brook Benton This time of the year
Little girls and little boys
Dream of worlds full of toys
This time of the year
When Christmas is near
Evergreens are snowy white
Sleigh bells ring through the night
This time of the year
When Christmas is near
And somewhere near a steeple
People kneel and pray
And choirs sing
Carols of Christmas day
Santa Claus is on his way
Loads of joy on his sleigh
This time of the year
When Christmas is near
Hear the sleigh bells
Hear the sleigh bells
Hear the sleigh bells ring
I made a little playlist.
Now you can wrap present the way it’s supposed to be done, while listening to this
The Platters Come home for Christmas
Won’t you please come home for Christmas?
Everyone will be there
When it’s time, come home for Christmas
We’ll have your favorite chair
When your heart starts reminiscing
Things like kissing mistletoe
The glistening, you’ll be missing
On the tree decked with cotton snow
So if you come home for Christmas
Oh, how the bells will ring
As we gather in the chapel
How we’ll sing
It’s been long but please remember
[Incomprehensible]
The faithful all come home for Christmas
It’s been long but please remember
[Incomprehensible]
The faithful all come home for Christmas
Doris Day I’ll be home for Christmas
I’ll be home for Christmas
You can plan on me
Please have snow and mistletoe
And presents on the tree
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love-light gleams
I’ll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams
Christmas Eve will find me
Where the love-light gleams
I’ll be home for Christmas
If only in my dreams

Star sisters Sleigh bells
Just hear those sleigh bells jingling
Ring-ting-tingling too
Come on it’s lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you
Outside the snow is falling
And friends are calling yoo-hoo
Come on it’s lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you
Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up let’s go
Let’s look at the snow
We’re riding in a winterland of snow
Giddy-up, giddy-up, giddy-up it’s grand
Just holding your hand
We’re gliding along with the songs
Of a wintry wonderland
Our cheeks are nice and rosy
And comfy cozy are we
We’re snuggling close together
Like two birds of a feather should be
Let’s take the road before us
And sing a chorus or two
Come on it’s lovely weather
For a sleigh ride together with you
There’s a birthday party
At the house of farmer Gray
It’ll be the perfect ending
To the perfect day
We’ll be singing the songs
We love to sing
Without a single stop
At the fireplace where
We’ll watch the chestnuts pop
There’s a happy feeling
Nothing in the world can buy
When they pass around the coffee
And the pumpkin pie
It’ll nearly be like a picture print
By Currier and Ives
These wonderful things are the things
We remember all through our lives
Teresa Brewer I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus
I saw Mommy kissing Santa Claus
Underneath the mistletoe last night
She didn’t see me creep
down the stair to have a peep
She thought that I was tucked
up in my bedroom fast asleep
Then I saw Mommy tickle Santa Claus
Underneath his beard so snowy white
Oh what a laugh it would have been
If Daddy had only seen
Mommy kissing Santa Claus last night
